When it comes to ruling the kingdom it appears that Princess Charlotte, the youngest member of the British royal family, is really in charge.
According to Queen Elizabeth, the 2-year-old is absolutely the ruler of the roost, at least when it comes to her and her older brother, Prince George.
When speaking to one of her royal subjects, 10-year-old Emily Clay, at her Sandringham estate in Norfolk, her majesty asked the young girl if she “looked after” her younger sister, 6-year-old Hadleigh. According to People, their mother Ellen replied, “It’s the other way around.”
Without skipping a beat the 91-year-old Queen quickly replied, “It’s like that with Charlotte and George.”
And really, this take the lead attitude shouldn’t surprise anyone. According to a source who spoke to People, little Charlotte immediately settled into her new preschool, Willcocks Nursery School, just one day after arrival.
It also shouldn’t take anyone aback that Charlotte loves to spend time with her big brother.
“Charlotte loves to chase [George] around. They’re both very active children,” a source told Us Weekly. “They still like a bit of rough and tumble. She’s not afraid of a grazed knee and it’s most certainly not going to stop her from running around the corridors … Charlotte’s always got her eye on something and she moves at the speed of life!”
