Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck will light the Bat-Signal at 9 p.m. local time, according to the Los Angeles Times. It will be projected onto the side of City Hall, in downtown L.A. on Spring Street.

West played the Caped Crusader in the 1960s on the “Batman” television show. Although many actors have come after, West will always be the classic Batman.

The Bat-Signal, of course, is how police in Gotham City, Batman’s hometown, would call for the superhero’s help.

Fans of West can see the Bat-Signal in all its glory Thursday night, at City Hall, 200 N. Spring St.
